Recent history has shown that the remuneration of directors in the Dutch banking landscape is an important social issue. In consideration of the legally required cap on variable remuneration as a percentage of the fixed salary, the supervisory board has devoted a great deal of attention to recalibrating and resetting the executive remuneration. The supervisory board considers it extremely important that the structure and amount of the remuneration be commensurate with the developments in the market as well as the personal and collective performance of the board members and BinckBank’s internal remuneration policy.
