1980 Start of AOT
This international trading specialist focused on stocks and derivatives and was one of the first option traders on the Dutch options exchange. A very successful start was followed by an IPO in 1985 on Euronext Amsterdam
2000 AOT acquired a stake in BinckBank N.V.
AOT acquired a stake in BinckBank N.V. in 2000 and got as such closely involved with its foundation.
May 2000 Foundation of Binck
BinckBank launched its website for private investors on October 6 2000. BinckBank's proposition was and is innovative; private investors are offered the same trading possibilities as a professional investor at extremely low fees.
10 May 2004 BinckBank and AOT joined forces
BinckBank became a fully owned subsidiary of Binck N.V. Subsequently the new organisation was drastically reorganized to be changed into a strong, healthy and fast-growing company.
7 March 2006 First international step
BinckBank made her first international step. We entered the Belgian market with our services for online brokerage.
July 2006 Sale of remaining foreign trading activities
BinckBank sold the remaining foreign trading activities. (trading of derivatives for own account) in its subsidiary HIT to Van der Moolen Equities Limited.
13 October 2006 Legal merger of Binck into Binckbank N.V.
Binck N.V. and its subsidiary BinckBank N.V. were legally merged into one company called BinckBank N.V.
October 2006 Acquisition of Syntel
BinckBank acquired software supplier and developer Syntel a leading market player in The Netherlands in securities transaction processing and administration software for financial institutions.
October 2007 Announcement acquisition Alex
BinckBank announced the acquisition of Alex. This acquisition was closed on 31 December 2007. As of 1 January 2008 Alex is a part of the business unit Retail.
9 September 2008 BinckBank enters French brokerage market
BinckBank entered the French market as well and became the cheapest online broker of France.
23 June 2009 Launch of TOM (The Order Machine)
TOM is a combination of a Best Execution Service and a venue, able to facilitate the matching of buy and sell orders in an advantageous and transparent manner.
6 July 2010 Introduction of BeFrank
BinckBank and Delta Lloyd launched a joint venture for group defined contribution pension schemes (second pillar)
